1. Breakthrough Programme
This is a three day "in-company" management development programme designed for persons recently appointed to or about to be appointed to management positions in your organization (promising management talent). They require exposure to or an update in the areas of strategy, leadership and change management.
Learning Process
Each session involves a high degree of participation and interaction. The learning process is designed to stimulate and stretch the participants thought processes and at the same time allows participants to develop answers and solutions to the problems and issues under discussion. This allows the topic to be covered in a stimulating and free flowing manner while at the same time maintaining a structured approach.
Business cases are used through out the programme and have been selected on the basis of their relevance to today's business environment, the learning outcomes, the challenges posed for participants, stimulating situations and the capability of the case to integrate across the three key themes of the programme; namely strategy, leadership and change management. This maximizes the participants learning experience.
The value of the business case methodology is increased through the use of current, live and ongoing international company examples - "a real-time case". The purpose is to link the past to the present and as situations are ongoing a range of strategic options and outcomes are discussed. This serves to enhance the richness of the discussion and stimulate the participants interest. The learning experience is optimised through evaluating actual business situations/problems. These real situations are also used to exemplify critical conceptual frameworks. The international companies are chosen from a range of different sectors and vary in size from SME's to large household names.
Each session is centered on a number of major breakout sessions where the participants meet to discuss a specific problem or issue under consideration. There is an action learning element to the programme in that the group breakout sessions also involve the participants applying the new concepts to their own business situation.
All participants are expected to do pre-programme and overnight work.

Learning Process
There is no theory, graphs, diagrams, slide shows or any confusing economic jargon! The programme is designed to make what can be a very dry topic - interesting, practical from a business perspective and enjoyable. The participants do all the work and there is a high degree of participation and interaction. A business case is used to stimulate discussion and allow participants themselves to identify key macroeconomic issues and interpret the variables underlying them. The group then moves on to identify key developments in the global economy and economic prospects in the world's major economies in the coming years. As confidence builds the participants are split into groups to forecast interest rates in the Euro area, United States and the UK.
