Philip Halpin has a combined twenty five years experience working in the financial services industry and in third level and executive education. He holds a Masters degree in Economics, Higher Diploma in Education and is a highly respected commentator on developments in the global economy and financial markets. Philip is a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers in Ireland (FIB)

He has held various senior management positions in financial services including Investment Manager with Abbey Life Assurance (Ireland), Head of Treasury and Chief Operating Officer with National Irish Bank and Chief General Manager of the Bank of Kuwait and Middle East.

He has served on the European Executive Committee of National Australia Group, the board of Northern Bank and as President of the Irish Bankers Federation.

Philip has extensive experience of formulating strategy both at Corporate and Business Unit level and also implementation of strategy and managing strategic change.

As a senior executive, he attended executive development programmes in many top U.S. Universities (e.g. Stanford, Yale and Darden Business School). He spent over two and a half years as a member of faculty at the Irish Management Institute in Dublin. During this time he specialized in the areas of strategy, leadership and change. His responsibilities included working on company specific assignments and that of programme director for the "Directors and Senior Managers Programme".
